Inauguration of the AR/VR/MR/XR Experience Centre

On 22 September 2026, 4Point2 Technologies inaugurated its AR/VR/MR/XR Experience Centre at the Statue of Equality in Hyderabad. The ceremony was attended by spiritual leaders HH Tridandi Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji (Chairman, Statue of Equality), HH Ahobila Jeeyar Swamiji (Chief Patron, Statue of Equality), Sriman T. Ramesh Gupta (President, Statue of Equality) and Shri K. V. Chowdary (President, Divya Saketham). Key representatives from 4Point2 Technologies included Founder‑Chairman & Managing Director K. Shiva Kumar, Chief Mentor Dr. Subramanyam Sharma G, Director Apoorva, CEO Yashwanth Kumar and CTO Madhu Chander.

Objective and Technological Offering

The initiative seeks to merge emerging immersive technologies with heritage storytelling, creating a contemporary medium for ancient narratives. 4Point2’s flagship AR products combine merchandise with digital storytelling, delivering interactive sessions on personal devices. The centre showcases AR, VR, MR and XR experiences that provide contextual information and interactive layers around the physical monument, aiming to enhance visitor engagement and accessibility, especially for visually challenged individuals.

Immersive VR Darshan Experience

A core component is the VR Darshan experience, a 360° immersive recreation of temple rituals captured directly from the Statue of Equality’s premises. The VR content includes early‑morning rituals, Abhishekam, Alankaram, Aarthi and occasional ceremonies, with no VFX, CGI or digitally recreated visuals, preserving authenticity. While it does not replace physical Darshan, it extends the experience, allowing devotees to revisit and share sacred moments beyond the temple’s physical boundaries and timings.

Heritage Context of the Statue of Equality

The Statue of Equality, dedicated to the 11th‑century saint Sri Ramanujacharya, stands 216 feet tall and is among the world’s tallest metallic statues in a sitting posture. Constructed from Panchaloha (an alloy of gold, silver, copper, brass and zinc), the monument anchors a larger spiritual complex that houses the 108 Divya Desams (sacred Vishnu temples) and the Swarna Ramanuja gold deity, which contains approximately 120 kg of gold. The complex also runs initiatives in food, education, healthcare and social inclusion, providing prasadam, residential facilities for priests and families, and training and employment opportunities for visually challenged persons.

Statements from Leadership

K. Shiva Kumar, Founder‑Chairman, emphasized that tourism now demands deeper storytelling, stating that “AR, VR, MR, XR gives us an opportunity to create that additional layer of discovery.” He clarified that the technology is intended to enhance, not replace, the physical experience. He also highlighted India’s vast heritage landscape as a significant opportunity for technology‑backed interpretation across monuments, temples, museums and cultural sites.

Strategic Significance

The Hyderabad launch marks 4Point2 Technologies’ entry into the city and underscores its broader expansion into technology‑driven experiential solutions for heritage tourism. By integrating immersive digital layers with traditional folklore, the company aims to make cultural knowledge more engaging and accessible for future generations.
