Program Details
The program is delivered in partnership with the Centre for Investment Education and Learning (CIEL) and targets practical financial‑goal planning rather than basic literacy. Each workshop helps teachers align life aspirations—such as children’s education, home ownership, retirement, emergency preparedness and long‑term wealth creation—with disciplined investing strategies. Sessions are facilitated by experienced CIEL trainers who blend market knowledge with relatable examples, using an interactive format that encourages participants to apply concepts directly to their personal financial goals. The initiative emphasizes women teachers, who constitute a significant majority of the CBSE teaching workforce.
Current Status and Expansion Plan
Investor Connect is currently being run successfully across CBSE schools in Mumbai. The partnership plans to extend the workshops to CBSE schools throughout India, working toward the goal of reaching 5,000 teachers. CBSE schools collectively employ more than one million teachers, giving the program the potential to generate a multiplier effect that extends financial confidence beyond individual educators to families and communities.
