Aarti Industries Secures ₹1,500 Cr Supply Deal

Aarti Industries Limited (AIL), a global manufacturer of speciality chemicals, announced on 13 October 2026 that it has entered into a strategic dedicated manufacturing and supply agreement lasting more than ten years with a leading global speciality chemical company (the customer is not named). Under the agreement, AIL will set up, commission and operate a dedicated manufacturing facility in India to produce a speciality chemical used in high‑performance applications, employing the customer’s proprietary process technology.

The contract carries an estimated revenue potential of approximately ₹1,500 crore (about US$150 million) over its term. The financial model includes a structured arrangement to fund capital expenditures of less than US$25 million for the dedicated plant. Commercial production is targeted to commence in fiscal year 2028‑29, subject to receipt of all required regulatory and other approvals.

The deal creates a new global customer for AIL, broadening its international customer base and adding a capital‑efficient platform for growth. By localising manufacturing in India, the arrangement also supports supply‑chain resilience for the customer and underpins its growth plans in the country.

Commenting on the development, Mr Suyog Kotecha, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Aarti Industries Limited, said: “This agreement brings a new global customer into AIL’s portfolio and reflects the confidence placed in our ability to establish and operate dedicated manufacturing assets to global standards. The model combines the customer’s proprietary technology with AIL’s strengths in scale‑up engineering, execution and reliable operations. The long‑term domestic supply arrangement provides sustained visibility while creating a capital‑efficient platform for growth. It also gives both organisations a foundation to expand the engagement as the customer’s India requirements grow.”

Founded in 1984, AIL operates 16 manufacturing plants, four R&D centres and employs more than 250 scientists, offering a portfolio of over 100 products across diverse end‑use industries. Recent recognitions include the EcoVadis Platinum Medal, placing it among the top 1% of companies globally, and the Gallup Exceptional Workplace Award 2026.
