Operational Update
Falcon Yarns Private Limited, which has been acquired by Aastha Spintex Limited, has received registration from the Gujarat Energy Development Agency (GEDA) for installation of a rooftop solar PV system with 1,000 kW AC capacity and 1,350 kW DC capacity (1.35 MW DC) at its manufacturing facility.
Project Details
Location: S. No. 177/1, N.H. 27, near Bharudi Toll Plaza, Bharudi, Taluka Gondal, District Rajkot, Gujarat
GEDA Registration Details:
- Registration Number: PG/HT/10267568
- Registration Date: 1 September 2026
- Policy Framework: Gujarat Integrated Renewable Energy Policy - 2025
- Category: Industrial/Commercial
- Project Model: CAPEX mode (system owned by applicant, electricity for own use)
- Selected Installer: MATgrow Renewables Pvt. Ltd.
- DISCOM Consumer No.: 28451
- Sanctioned Load/Contract Demand: 2970 kW
Execution Progress
As of 16 September 2026:
- Manpower deployed: 13 personnel
- Module Mounting Structure (MMS) marking work: Approximately 70% complete
- MMS installation work: Approximately 40% complete
- Current Stage: On-site execution in progress
Photographic evidence shows active installation activity across multiple work fronts on the industrial roof.
Regulatory Requirements
The GEDA registration requires completion of several subsequent steps:
- Technical feasibility assessment by the relevant DISCOM
- Execution of connectivity agreement with DISCOM after technical feasibility established
- Installation of appropriate bi-directional meter per DISCOM specifications
- SLD approval and charging permission from competent electrical authorities
- Compliance with Gujarat Integrated Renewable Energy Policy 2025, GERC regulations, and ALMM requirements
Strategic Relevance
The project is registered in CAPEX mode with electricity generated intended for Falcon's own use, linking renewable assets directly with manufacturing operations. After commissioning, captive solar generation may reduce grid electricity requirements during solar-generation hours, potentially improving energy-cost efficiency. The project supports operational efficiency and sustainability objectives while strengthening manufacturing infrastructure.
Forward-looking Notes
The disclosure emphasizes that the project should be described as "GEDA registered and under execution" rather than fully commissioned. Commercial and operating benefits will begin only after completion of installation, statutory/utility processes, and successful commissioning. Actual outcomes may vary based on commissioning schedule, solar generation, equipment performance, captive consumption, electricity tariffs, and regulatory requirements.
Next Milestones
Completion of installation, statutory connectivity processes, and successful commissioning represent the next meaningful disclosure milestones, subject to applicable regulatory requirements.
