Abhay Bhutada Foundation announced that it has contributed Rs 21 lakh to the ‘Deva Bhau School Scholarship’ programme, providing scholarship assistance to 300 school students from financially weaker households in Pune.

Ceremony Details

The scholarships were presented on Wednesday, 22 July 2026 in Pune. Maharashtra Technical Education Minister Shri Chandrakant Patil personally handed the certificates to the beneficiaries. The event was co‑organized with Hindu Garjana Pratishthan and attended by Shri Dheeraj Ghate, President of Hindu Garjana Pratishthan and BJP Pune City President, Shri Umesh Shelke, President of the Labour Union, as well as several other office bearers and volunteers of the Pratishthan.

Founder’s Statement

CA Abhay Bhutada, entrepreneur, philanthropist and chairman of the foundation, said, \"Behind every child’s education is a family striving to keep their dreams alive. This scholarship of Rs 21 lakh for 300 students is our small token of support … Education is every child's equal right and should never be a privilege reserved for a few.\" He also highlighted the foundation’s work in providing hands‑on STEM learning kits to rural schools, supporting sports tournaments, and promoting cultural initiatives such as Shivsrushti in Pune.

Additional Philanthropic Activities

During recent floods in Maharashtra, the foundation contributed ₹5 crore to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid affected families. The foundation, founded in 2023, operates solely on funds provided by CA Abhay Bhutada without any external fundraising, and its programmes span education, healthcare, sports, cultural preservation and disaster relief, impacting lakhs of lives across the state.
