On 31 August 2026 in Pune, the Abhay Bhutada Foundation, chaired by chartered accountant Abhay Bhutada, marked National Sports Day by providing a comprehensive set of sports kits to talented students from the North‑East residing at Ishwarpuram Hostel. The donation package comprised footballs, tennis rackets, volleyballs, football studs, cricket bats, bags, water bottles and specialised carriers for sports gear, intended to eliminate equipment‑related barriers for these athletes.

CA Abhay Bhutada, described as an entrepreneur, philanthropist and chairman of both the foundation and TAB Global Ventures, stated that India possesses abundant talent but often lacks the necessary opportunities and support. He emphasized the foundation’s commitment to ensuring that deserving athletes receive the resources required to advance their sporting journeys and to make the nation proud.

The foundation, established in 2023, operates across education, healthcare, sports, cultural preservation and disaster relief. In education, it has supplied hands‑on STEM learning kits to under‑resourced rural schools and offered scholarships for higher‑education students. In sports, beyond the current kit donation, it has backed tournaments to broaden participation and supported initiatives such as Shivsrushti in Pune, which promotes cultural and historical learning.

During recent floods in Maharashtra, the foundation contributed ₹5 crore to the Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to aid affected families. The organization is fully funded by CA Abhay Bhutada without external fundraising, and it claims to have impacted lakhs of lives across Maharashtra through its various programmes.
