On 23 May 2026, Access Life, in partnership with Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) and Chellaram Foundation, inaugurated a 10‑unit “Home Away from Home” centre at the MAHE campus, Manipal, to support paediatric bone‑marrow‑transplant (BMT) patients treated at Kasturba Hospital.
The centre provides free accommodation, nutrition, transportation, counselling and non‑formal education for families, aiming to reduce treatment abandonment among children with cancer and blood‑related disorders.
Access Life now operates 14 centres in 10 Indian cities, can support up to 228 families simultaneously, and has assisted more than 10,500 beneficiaries across India.
The first 12‑unit centre in Manipal was inaugurated in April 2022 and has helped nearly 350 beneficiaries, highlighting the organization’s expanding reach.
