Actorius Unveils Integrated Liquid Biopsy Portfolio at CAMO 2026
Actorius Innovations and Research presented its integrated liquid‑biopsy portfolio on Tuesday, 27 October 2026 at the Cancer in Motion International Scientific Symposium (CAMO 2026) hosted by ACTREC, Tata Memorial Centre in Navi Mumbai. The launch introduced next‑generation sequencing (NGS) genomic tests designed to guide cancer‑treatment decisions and to longitudinally monitor minimal residual disease (MRD) through comprehensive analysis of circulating tumour DNA (ctDNA), genomic DNA (gDNA) and RNA extracted from a simple blood draw.
In parallel, the company highlighted its OncoDiscover circulating tumour cell (CTC) biomarker platform, which is approved by the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO). OncoDiscover is India’s first and only CDSCO‑cleared clinical assay for CTC detection from blood and is applicable across more than fifteen solid‑tumour types. The assay detects and enumerates rare CTCs using proprietary immunomagnetic enrichment and fluorescence microscopy, providing a cellular complement to the molecular information generated by the NGS tests.
The scientific leadership of the platform is attributed to Dr. Jayant Khandare, who co‑founded Actorius in 2013 together with Aravindan Vasudevan. Dr. Khandare explained that even when imaging appears clear, circulating tumour cells and residual genomic signals can persist and drive future metastasis; the combined NGS and CTC approach therefore supplies quantitative cellular and molecular data that help clinicians track disease, guide targeted‑therapy decisions, reduce dependence on imported diagnostics, and make advanced monitoring more widely available in India.
Global liquid‑biopsy pioneers Prof. Klaus Pantel and Prof. Catherine Alix‑Panabières, who together coined the term “Liquid Biopsy” in 2010, praised the integrated approach during the symposium. Prof. Pantel noted that Actorius has successfully translated robust CTC science into a regulated platform that, together with genomic testing, meaningfully expands accessible liquid biopsy for Indian patients. Prof. Alix‑Panabières commended the scientific depth of combining OncoDiscover with NGS monitoring, calling it a significant step toward routine clinical decision‑making.
Actorius also referenced its investigational OncoDiscover Metastat system, indicating ongoing development of next‑generation biomarker technologies. The product launch and scientific discussions underscored the value of a dual‑analyte strategy—cellular and molecular—for dynamic treatment monitoring in precision oncology.
