Overview

On October 27, 2026, Amity International School issued a press release highlighting the achievements of student entrepreneur Adhiraj Chauhan, a pupil at the school who has built a portfolio of AI‑driven solutions across mental health, behavioural technology and environmental monitoring.

Mental‑Health Venture

Chauhan’s flagship project, AIR, is an AI‑assisted mental‑health application developed under his company Delta AI Revolution. The app, built with clinical guidance from Dr. Sandeep Vohra—former Head of Psychiatry at Max and Apollo Hospitals—applies cognitive‑behavioural therapy (CBT) techniques and structured counselling frameworks to facilitate conversational support for anxiety, depression and trauma‑related challenges. AIR has been deployed in seven regional languages and, according to Delta AI Revolution, has reached more than 40,000 users. The platform is positioned as a cost‑effective, geographically and linguistically inclusive supplement to professional care, while explicitly acknowledging that AI‑based assistance does not replace qualified clinical diagnosis.

Funding and Recognition

The venture obtained seed‑stage financing through the Government of India’s Technology Incubation and Development of Entrepreneurs (TIDE) programme administered by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY). In parallel, Chauhan has accumulated a series of national and international accolades: Startup India (DPIIT) Recognition for AI Venture, India’s Young‑Preneur Award, Most Innovative Solution at the Harvard Sustainability Impact Summit, Best Research Paper at the Oxford Global Academic Summit, and selection by NITI Aayog as one of only two student speakers at the AI Impact Summit held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The summit audience included representatives from Google, Microsoft, Meta and OpenAI. Deepak Bagla, Mission Director of the Atal Innovation Mission under NITI Aayog, publicly praised the venture’s nation‑building potential. Additional honors comprise an IIT innovation competition win, the CSIR Jigyasa Award, the CBSE National Science Fair Award, the Visionary Young Leader in AI & Innovation at the Outlook Business Awards, and Young AI Entrepreneur of the Year at the BW Businessworld Awards.

Behavioural Digital Twins

Collaborating with a professor from the Wharton School, Chauhan is developing AI‑powered Digital Twins that model individual preferences, motivations, personality traits and decision‑making patterns. The methodology integrates behavioural frameworks, surveys and validation mechanisms to simulate how a person might react across varied scenarios.

Environmental Innovation

Addressing water‑quality challenges, Chauhan has engineered an AI‑enabled unmanned marine vehicle capable of real‑time monitoring of aquatic ecosystems. The technology aims to detect pollution spikes across India’s rivers, where the Central Pollution Control Board has identified 296 polluted stretches spanning 271 rivers. Chauhan has filed a patent for the core technology of the marine vehicle and has licensed the solution to an external commercial entity for deployment.

Broader Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

Beyond his own ventures, Chauhan is active in mentorship and accelerator collaborations, seeking to broaden access to entrepreneurial guidance and resources for other young innovators.

Contextual Statistics

India currently has approximately 0.75 psychiatrists per 100,000 population, well below the World Health Organization’s recommendation of three per 100,000. WHO estimates indicate that one in seven adolescents globally experiences a mental‑health condition, underscoring the demand for scalable support solutions such as AIR.
