Overview
Adobe announced an expansion of its partnership with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the government‑backed AI firm Humain. The expanded agreement will give more than 27 million eligible Saudi citizens and residents one year of free access to Adobe’s AI‑powered tools, specifically the Adobe Firefly Standard subscription tier and Adobe Express Premium features. Adobe values the commitment at over $4 billion.
New AI Model
Adobe and Humain jointly developed a new image‑generation model tailored to Saudi culture. The model, which creates culturally appropriate images from Arabic‑language prompts, is funded by Saudi Arabia’s sovereign wealth fund.
Roll‑out Timeline
The free‑access program is scheduled to begin rolling out by the end of 2026.
Strategic Context
The original partnership was announced in November, focusing on supporting Humain’s development of Arabic content‑generation tools for the broader Middle East region. The expanded partnership is intended to grow Adobe’s user base for its AI products amid intensifying competition in the design‑software market.
