Press Release – Plano, Texas, 20 Oct 2026
Aduna, described as a leading global aggregator of standardised network APIs and a landmark venture between major telecom operators and Ericsson, announced the launch of three fraud‑prevention application programming interfaces (APIs) for the United States. The three APIs – Know Your Customer (KYC), Device Swap, and Call Forward Detection – are slated for availability in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The APIs are delivered in collaboration with the three largest U.S. mobile operators – AT&T, T‑Mobile and Verizon – and provide enterprises, developers and solution providers with direct, near‑real‑time access to carrier‑verified mobile network signals. By aggregating coverage across these operators, Aduna enables a single API gateway, eliminating the need for multiple carrier integrations and simplifying implementation.
Aduna positions the APIs as tools to combat evolving fraud threats such as account‑takeover fraud, synthetic identities, social‑engineering scams and unauthorised account changes. The KYC API verifies customer identity information against carrier records to support reliable onboarding and account verification. The Device Swap API detects recent changes in the device associated with a mobile number, flagging potential SIM‑related fraud or takeover attempts. The Call Forward Detection API identifies when call forwarding has been activated on a number, helping to expose fraud scenarios where criminals redirect authentication calls.
These network‑derived risk signals are intended for incorporation into fraud‑prevention workflows, authentication journeys and identity‑verification solutions across sectors where trust is critical, including financial services, fintech, e‑commerce, digital marketplaces, telecommunications, healthcare and government services.
"Fraudsters continue to exploit gaps in digital identity verification, creating significant challenges for businesses and consumers alike," said Anthony Bartolo, CEO of Aduna. "The launch of KYC and Device Swap and the forthcoming Call Forwarding Detection represents another major step towards bringing trusted network intelligence to the market at scale. By providing direct access to carrier‑verified signals, we are helping organisations make smarter risk decisions, reduce fraud and create safer digital experiences for their customers."
