Project Award: Afcons Infrastructure Limited has received a Letter of Acceptance (LoA) from Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) for the Design and Construction of a Desalinated Water Conveyance Tunnel.

Project Value: ₹1,918 crores (inclusive of GST and O&M)

Project Scope: Desalinated water conveyance tunnel from the proposed Water Pumping Station at Manori to Charkop, extending further to Mahavir Nagar (Kandivali), Mumbai.

Project Purpose: Critical infrastructure to boost Mumbai's water supply through desalinated water transportation.

Management Commentary

Mr. Krishnamurthy Subramanian, Executive Chairman: Described the project as "a critical step towards ensuring sustainable water supply for Mumbai" and stated it "stands as a testament to our engineering excellence and execution capabilities."

Mr. S Paramasivan, Managing Director: Expressed honor in "partnering with BMC once again" and noted that alongside the Kasheli–Mulund water conveyance tunnel, this "complex desalinated water tunnel project will be executed on time while maintaining the highest standards."
