Affle Announces Strategic Acquisition of AdColony Technology Assets and Trademark from DT
On June 16, 2026, Affle, a global technology company that operates a verticalized AI‑powered Consumer Platform, disclosed that its subsidiary Affle MEA FZ LLC entered into a definitive purchase agreement with DT (NASDAQ: APPS), formerly known as Digital Turbine. The agreement transfers selected strategic AdColony assets to Affle, including the AdColony SDK for Android and iOS devices, the underlying technology platform, existing integrations with in‑app publishers and mediation platforms, as well as the AdColony brand name, domain, and associated goodwill.
The acquisition is positioned as a cornerstone of Affle’s “10X growth” strategy, intended to broaden the reach of its Consumer Platform SDK across a wider and more diverse set of mobile publishers worldwide. By incorporating AdColony’s established publisher relationships and mediation capabilities, Affle aims to enhance its Cost Per Converted User (CPCU) business model, delivering higher return on investment for advertisers and greater value for publishers.
Affle’s Chairperson, MD & CEO Anuj Khanna Sohum stated that the integration of AdColony represents a significant step toward scaling globally and providing deeper audience intelligence across all industry verticals. Sameer Sondhi, CEO of North America and Chief Strategic Investments Officer at Affle, added that AdColony’s trusted reputation with publishers complements Affle’s broader strategy and will enable deeper engagement with both existing and new advertisers.
From DT’s perspective, the transaction allows the company to refocus its resources on core media and distribution platforms, as well as differentiated data and intelligence assets. Bill Stone, CEO of DT, explained that following prior acquisitions of Fyber and AdColony, DT consolidated around a single exchange platform (now DTX) and decided to simplify its technology stack. He described Affle as a natural partner for the divested assets and highlighted the opportunity to deepen the commercial relationship between the two firms.
