Overview
Agoda, a digital travel platform headquartered in Singapore and part of Booking Holdings (Nasdaq: BKNG), published its 2026 Repeat Visitor Ranking. The ranking is derived from bookings made on Agoda during the first half of 2026 and is compared with the same period in 2025.
Indian Destinations
The Indian segment of the ranking places New Delhi at the top, followed by Chennai, Mumbai, Bangalore and Kochi. New Delhi is highlighted for its mix of historic sites such as the Red Fort and Humayun’s Tomb, bustling markets and diverse food scene. Chennai ranks second, noted for its Dravidian heritage, Marina Beach and distinctive South Indian cuisine. Mumbai holds the third position, recognized for its Art Deco architecture, Bollywood legacy and iconic food culture. Bangalore, in fourth place, blends a tech‑driven identity with a vibrant craft‑beer, restaurant and live‑music scene, while Kochi rounds out the top five with its colonial Fort Kochi heritage, Kerala cuisine, contemporary art and easy access to backwaters.
Asian Destinations
Across Asia, Tokyo has risen to the number‑one spot for the first time, surpassing Bangkok, which now sits at number two. Bali claims the third position, marking its first appearance at that rank, followed by Seoul at fourth and Osaka at fifth. The ranking also notes the entry of Fukuoka at number eight, its first appearance in the top ten, praised for its ramen culture and relaxed atmosphere. Vietnam’s Da Nang moves up two places to sixth, recognized for its beaches, proximity to UNESCO sites such as Hoi An and strong value proposition. Completing the top ten are Kuala Lumpur, Taipei and Johor Bahru.

Gaurav Malik, Country Director for the Indian Subcontinent and Indian Ocean Islands at Agoda, stated that Indian travelers are increasingly seeking repeat experiences, whether for food, culture, weddings, festivals or work‑related short trips, and that repeat travel is becoming an important part of how Indians experience the world. He affirmed Agoda’s commitment to making such journeys seamless, accessible and rewarding.
Platform Scale
Agoda emphasizes that it offers more than 6 million holiday properties, over 130,000 flight routes and in excess of 300,000 activities, all of which can be combined in a single booking through its website or mobile app.
