AirAsia plans to place an order for approximately 150 Airbus A220 aircraft, as reported by Reuters.
The order would boost Airbus' smallest jetliner segment, which recently lost orders to Embraer.
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney is expected to attend the announcement in the Montreal area, though Airbus Canada declined comment.
Earlier Reuters report in February indicated a major AirAsia order for 110‑130 seat A220 could include 150 firm orders.
