Announcement

Aludecor, a leading Indian aluminium composite panel and façade solutions manufacturer, announced on 21 August 2026 the launch of Alubreeze Intelligent Louvers, the country’s first indigenously developed intelligent louver system that can be controlled remotely and respond automatically to changing environmental conditions such as sunlight, rain and wind.

Product Features

The intelligent system builds on Aludecor’s existing Alubreeze Architectural Louver Systems and combines a dedicated controller, a 24 V linear actuator, environmental sensors and the AluSync Cloud platform. Users can monitor and operate the louvers through a mobile application or web dashboard, while built‑in BMS and API integration enables connection with broader building automation systems. Hall‑sensor feedback provides closed‑loop verification of louver positions, ensuring precise actuation.

Technical Specifications

Alubreeze Intelligent Louvers are offered in both fixed (passive) and intelligent (adaptive) configurations, allowing architects to choose between static shading and dynamic façade control. Single‑ and double‑louver modules are available at 30°, 45° and 90° angles, with profile widths ranging from 100 mm to 600 mm. The units can be installed horizontally or vertically, and are supplied in a variety of finishes to suit aesthetic requirements.

Energy Performance

Both the static and intelligent louver variants contribute to building energy performance by reducing the effective Solar Heat Gain Coefficient (SHGC) of glazed façades and improving the Energy Performance Index (EPI). Independent studies estimate that, in climates comparable to India, the system can deliver cooling‑energy savings of 18 % to 40 %, with actual results dependent on factors such as climate, glazing type, façade orientation, window‑to‑wall ratio, control strategies and building usage patterns.

Applications

The Alubreeze Intelligent Louvers are suitable for a wide range of building types, including commercial offices, institutional facilities, hospitality projects, airports, transit infrastructure, parking façades, atriums, canopies, pergolas and other public buildings. The system is designed to balance solar control and daylight comfort while maintaining the visual language of the architecture.

Company Background

Founded in 2002, Aludecor provides a portfolio that includes aluminium composite panels, honeycomb panels and advanced fire‑retardant systems, positioning itself as a benchmark for quality, innovation and sustainability in modern architecture. The launch was announced under a press‑release arrangement with NRDPL, with PTI stating it bears no editorial responsibility.
