Announcement
Antara Senior Care, the senior‑care business of Max India Limited, issued a press release on 5 November 2026 announcing that Dr Rachit Gulati, a specialist in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PMR), Pain Management and Rheumatology, has joined its Gurugram Care Home in Delhi NCR as a PMR specialist. The appointment is presented as a step that strengthens Antara’s post‑operative, transition and high‑dependency care offerings for adults aged 18 and above, including seniors recovering from surgery, serious illness or prolonged hospitalisation.
Dr Gulati’s Credentials and Experience
Dr Gulati holds an MBBS, an MD in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, a Fellowship in Pain Medicine and a Certificate in Rheumatology (EULAR). He brings over ten years of clinical practice, healthcare leadership and rehabilitation service development. His clinical expertise spans spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, Parkinsonism, stroke rehabilitation, musculoskeletal and rheumatological disorders, chronic pain management and interventional physiatry. Previously, he headed the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at ISIC Multispecialty Hospital (Indian Spinal Injuries Centre) in New Delhi. Earlier leadership roles include Chief Medical Officer at Praan Health and Medical Director at Recoup Health, Bengaluru, as well as a position at SAAOL Ortho Care, Delhi. He has also held academic and clinical appointments at AIIMS Bhopal, Mahatma Gandhi Medical College and West Bengal Health Services. Dr Gulati has authored approximately twenty research papers of national and international repute and has presented talks and posters at numerous rehabilitation conferences.
Statements from Leadership
Dr Gulati said, “Rehabilitation is as much a part of treatment as the surgery or medical care that comes before it… each plan must be built around the individual… At Antara, my focus will be on bringing this specialist‑led, multidisciplinary approach to every patient, whether they are 25 or 85, so that they recover faster, more safely and more completely.”
Commenting on the appointment, Ishaan Khanna, CEO of Antara Assisted Care Services Ltd., noted that ageing well is about leading a healthy life and that Antara is building a care ecosystem that can respond to evolving senior needs. He highlighted that each city now has a PMR lead, advanced physiotherapy interventions and a deep focus on infrastructure to deliver clinical depth, not just capacity. Dr Gulati’s joining is described as an important step in deepening capability and helping seniors regain functional independence.
