Anthropic Adds Citigroup as Lead IPO Banker
Anthropic PBC announced that Citigroup Inc. will join Morgan Stanley, Goldman Sachs Group Inc. and JPMorgan Chase & Co. as lead underwriters for its forthcoming initial public offering. The AI firm is reportedly considering filing for a listing as early as the end of August 2026. Citigroup had previously participated in a $2.5 billion revolving credit line with Anthropic, and the revolver is expected to rise above the company's roughly $10 billion target. The announcement caused Citigroup shares to increase 0.5 % in after‑hours trading on Thursday. The bank lineup remains under deliberation, with the possibility of additional banks being added and details subject to change.
