Operational Highlights for Q1 FY27
- Total tonnage managed grew by ~5.4% year-on-year (YoY) to approximately 1.40 million tonnes
- Collection & Transportation (C&T) volumes rose ~5.1% YoY to ~0.55 million tonnes
- Processing volumes grew ~5.5% YoY to ~0.85 million tonnes
- Core revenue growth of ~7% achieved during the quarter
- RDF sales stood at ~40,000 tonnes, representing a decline of around 28% YoY due to completion of CIDCO biomining project
- Compost sales remained broadly stable at approximately 6,000 tonnes
Refinancing Update
- Successful refinancing of term loan for material subsidiary Antony Lara Renewable Energy Private Limited (ALREPL)
- ALREPL operates the Pimpri Chinchwad Waste-to-Energy facility (PCMC WtE Facility)
- Interest rate reduced from 10.25% per annum to 8.25% per annum (200 basis points reduction)
- Expected outcomes: Lower interest burden at subsidiary level, enhanced free cash flow generation, improved returns from WtE asset
- This refinancing represents optimization of the capital structure of the WtE business
Force Majeure Event - July 8, 2026
- PCMC WtE Facility suffered a natural calamity on July 8, 2026
- Exceptionally heavy and incessant monsoon rainfall destabilized thousands of tonnes of municipal waste in a legacy landfill located outside facility boundary
- Waste mass collapse resulted in structural damage to administrative building
- 23 employees were present in the building at the time
- Rescue operations involved National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Indian Army, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation officials, Fire Brigade, and other emergency agencies
- 14 employees rescued from debris
- 9 fatalities confirmed
Support Measures for Bereaved Families
The Company has committed the following support measures:
- Full funeral and last rites expenses to be borne by Company
- Financial assistance of ₹25,00,000 (Rupees Twenty-Five Lakh) per deceased employee comprising ex-gratia support and applicable insurance benefits
- Employment to be provided to next of kin by offering suitable position to immediate family member
- Where no adult family member can take employment, Company will bear full educational expenses of minor children
- Medical coverage and necessary support extended to all injured employees for treatment and recovery
Operational Status Update
- MRF and composting plant are now fully operational and ready to receive and process waste from PCMC
- Company remains committed to phased restart of remaining facility
- Further updates on recovery efforts will be provided at end of every quarter throughout current financial year
