Apeejay Surrendra Park Hotels Limited announced the expansion of its iconic bakery and confectionery brand Flurys into North India with the opening of its first standalone café in Gurugram. The new café is located at Galleria Market, Gurugram, Haryana.

The 16-seater café operates as a 24-hour neighborhood establishment and features Flurys' signature confections including the Rum Ball, Chicken Patty, Chocolate Boat, Buttercream Cubes, fresh cream pastries, and French classics such as Millefeuille, Opera, and Paris-Brest. The menu also includes celebration cakes and a specialty Nolen Gur Crème Brûlée in a Bhanr. Beverage offerings include espresso favorites, signature Viennese Coffee, handcrafted teas, cold brews, frappes, and Chilled Coffee Sprüngli.

The café design incorporates warm accents with archival photographs celebrating Flurys' Park Street heritage. The brand was founded in 1927 on Kolkata's Park Street by Swiss couple Joseph and Frieda Flury and is approaching its centenary in 2027.

Management commentary included statements from three executives:

  • Priya Paul, Chairperson, emphasized Flurys' enduring brand value and commitment to preserving character and authenticity during expansion
  • Vijay Dewan, Managing Director, identified North India as a long-term target market and confirmed additional tea rooms and cafés planned across Delhi and other parts of India
  • Rohit Kakra, COO of Flurys, stated the design intention for every Flurys café to feel familiar from the first visit

The disclosure confirms this expansion marks a significant milestone in the brand's regional growth strategy, with Flurys currently operating over 110 Tea Rooms, cafés and kiosks across cities including Kolkata, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Indore, and now Gurugram.
