Apollo Micro Systems Limited submitted a regulatory disclosure to the National Stock Exchange of India Limited and BSE Limited regarding the inauguration of a new facility by its group company IDL Explosives Limited.

The disclosure was made pursuant to Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015.

Facility Details

IDL Explosives Limited has commissioned the Bolkunda Silo Unit, a new bulk explosives silo plant with a capacity of 9,000 MT. The facility is spread over 8.4 acres of land near Asansol, West Bengal.

Inauguration Event

The facility was formally inaugurated on 22 October 2026 by Sri Baddam Karunakar Reddy, Founder and Managing Director of Apollo Micro Systems Limited. The inauguration was attended by senior leadership of both Apollo Group and IDL Explosives Limited. Following the inauguration, a tree plantation ceremony was conducted at the unit by the Managing Director and leadership team.

Strategic Location and Purpose

The Bolkunda Silo Unit is located in the heart of the Eastern Coal Belt and Central Coal Belt. It will serve the mining operations of Eastern Coalfields Limited, Central Coalfields Limited, and other customers in the region with site-mixed bulk explosives.

Operational Significance

The silo-based infrastructure enables just-in-time conversion of emulsion matrix into explosives at the point of use, reducing the transport of finished explosives and improving safety across the supply chain.

Strategic Impact

This new plant expands IDL's national network of bulk explosives plants and silos. It strengthens the company's capacity to service long-term bulk explosives orders secured from Coal India subsidiaries earlier this year. The unit represents a step in the Apollo Group's energetics growth plan and reinforces the group's commitment to providing total solutions under one roof.

Business Context

IDL Explosives Limited is described as the energetics platform of the Apollo Group and one of India's oldest names in commercial explosives. The company has manufacturing plants and a nationwide network of bulk explosives silos serving the country's largest mining customers.
