Contract Award Details

Apollo Micro Systems Limited has been awarded a Make-II Prototype Sanction Order (PSO) by the Indian Air Force for the design, development, and prototype demonstration of a 500 Kg Smart Bomb. The bomb can be released from 80-100 kilometres away and land within 3 metres of the intended target.

Technical Specifications

The project involves development of IPREK (Indigenous Precision Guidance and Navigation Kit) that converts India's existing bomb inventory into precision standoff capability. The system integrates India's indigenous NavIC (IRNSS) satellite navigation, making it one of the first weapon systems in the world to use the Indian satellite constellation at its core. The solution provides this capability at a fraction of the cost of procuring new imported precision weapons.

Strategic Significance

This award marks the company's entry into India's precision guided munition (PGM) segment as a Prime OEM, representing one of the highest-value, highest-barrier segments of the Indian defence manufacturing market. Financial Terms

Under the Make-II category, there is no cost obligation on the Government during the prototype development phase. The Government is committed to procurement upon successful demonstration of the prototype.
