Dynavax was subsequently acquired by Sanofi for $2.2 billion. Prior to Dynavax, Casale held senior positions at Depomed and spent 14 years at Merck in progressive sales, marketing, and corporate‑strategy roles, contributing to the launches of ZOSTAVAX, GARDASIL, ROTATEQ, and PROQUAD.
