ART MUMBAI 2026 Programme Overview

Ahead of its fourth edition, ART MUMBAI 2026, presented by Birla Opus Paints, will take place from 12–15 November 2026 at the Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Mumbai. The fair will host 94 Indian and international exhibitors and will be complemented by an extensive Speaker Series and guided walks that explore a range of topics across the art ecosystem.

Speaker Series Highlights

The 2026 Speaker Series is organized around six thematic conversations:

  • Scaling Up: The Future of Art Institutions in Asia and the Middle East – featuring Lydia Yee, Manuel Rabaté, and Minal Vazirani, discussing expansion of programmes, audiences, digital presence, and international reach.
  • A Poet and a Painter – a dialogue between Javed Akhtar and Baaraan Ijlal, moderated by Ranjit Hoskote, examining how poetry and painting translate memory, belonging, and contemporary urban life.
  • Decades of Vision – with Krupa Amin, Geetha Mehra, Amita Malkani, and Naman Ahuja, moderated by Siddharth Somaiya, reflecting on organisations marking significant anniversaries in 2026.
  • Women to Watch – featuring Indu Antony, Vidya Shivdas, Veeranganakumari Solanki, and Minal Vazirani, focusing on Antony’s multidisciplinary practice within the National Museum of Women in the Arts’ initiative.
  • Enter the Art: How Immersive Tech Is Redrawing the Gallery Walls – presented by Alap Parikh and Sonia Parekh, moderated by Asad Laljee, exploring AI, AR, and immersive technologies reshaping creation and audience experience.
  • Reframing the City: Public Art in India – led by Ranjit Hoskote and Vishal Dar, moderated by Veeranganakumari Solanki, considering commissioning, audiences, and longevity of public art from SITE Jodhpur to the sā Ladakh Biennale.

Additional Programming

Alongside the conversations, the fair will reinstate guided walks that provide close looks at artists and practices showcased by exhibitors. Stage programming will include talks, performances, and musical presentations, extending the cultural experience across disciplines. On Friday and Saturday evenings, the fair will operate extended hours to give visitors more time to explore.
