Publication Launch

A press release dated 23 June 2026 from New Delhi announced that Senior Advocate and tax‑business lawyer Aseem Chawla has unveiled the Third Edition of Supreme Court on Company Law (Compendium of Cases), a three‑volume pedagogical reference covering Supreme Court judgments from 1950 to 2025 under the Companies Acts of 1913, 1956 and 2013.

Content and Structure

The compendium compiles landmark judgments with concise headnotes that highlight each decision’s ratio decidendi, and it cites relevant paragraphs for easy reference. In addition to a nominal index, the work provides a comprehensive subject index and a section index, thereby significantly enhancing its utilitarian and research value for practitioners and scholars.

Judicial Endorsements

Hon’ble Justice Ujjal Bhuyan of the Supreme Court contributed a foreword in which he applauds the consolidation of authoritative pronouncements and describes the work as performing an important and enduring function. Justice Bhuyan further characterises the Third Edition as the product of sincere effort, hard work, meticulous planning and serious scholarship.

Hon’ble Justice V. Kameswar Rao of the Delhi High Court offered a testimonial, noting that the compendium comprehensively covers Supreme Court judgments over a seventy‑five‑year span and presents them in a systematic, easily discernible manner. He emphasizes that the distinguishing feature lies not merely in the compilation of cases but in tracing the evolution of company‑law jurisprudence across changing statutory frameworks.
