Asian Paints Launches 'Colour As Continuum' Exhibit

Overview

Asian Paints announced on July 27, 2026 that it is presenting "Colour As Continuum", a month‑long curated design experience at Nilaya Anthology in Mumbai. The exhibition brings the company's annual colour forecast ColourNext 2026 into the realm of collectible design for the first time.

Exhibition Concept

The showcase reimagines the four ColourNext 2026 directions—IRL, Pastoral, Solarpunk and Daydream—through a selection of furniture, objects and material expressions contributed by designers such as Charlotte Perriand, Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Christoph Delcourt, Christabel McGreevy, Ashiesh Shah, Ravi Vazirani, Paola Paronetto, Laura Pasquino and Jacqueline Leighton Boyce. A dedicated ColourNext Lab demonstrates biomaterials, woven fibres, handcrafted processes, translucent surfaces and experimental finishes, illustrating how material can convey emotion, ecology and cultural continuity.

Leadership Commentary

Amit Syngle, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Asian Paints, stated that ColourNext has become “a cultural document that studies how shifts in society, technology, craft and human behaviour begin to shape the spaces we inhabit,” and that the exhibition moves the forecast beyond trend reporting into a tangible design experience.

Associated Events

During the programme Nilaya Anthology also hosted the launch of the book Udayshanth Fernando: Living Design published by Rizzoli USA, and an evening event featuring London‑based artist HARRI, who discussed material innovation and the future of design.
