Aster DM Quality Care Limited commenced operations on 3 July 2026 following the merger of Aster DM Healthcare Limited and Quality Care India Limited (QCIL). The merger integrates four trusted healthcare brands – Aster DM, CARE Hospitals, Evercare and KIMSHEALTH – into a single platform comprising 39 hospitals across 28 cities, delivering more than 10,600 beds.
Leadership is headed by Executive Chairman Dr. Azad Moopen, who continues in his role, and by Managing Director and Group CEO Mr. Varun Khanna. The combined workforce exceeds 45,000 healthcare professionals, making it one of India’s most extensive clinical ecosystems.
The entity’s strategic priority is to decentralise affordable and advanced healthcare by expanding specialist services and cutting‑edge technology into tier‑2 and tier‑3 cities such as Nagpur, Aurangabad, Vijayawada, Guntur, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Nagercoil, Kolhapur, Kannur, Kasaragod and Kottakkal. Immediate investments include the deployment of 12 LINAC‑based radiation therapy systems, acquisition of 10 robotic surgical platforms, and introduction of next‑generation equipment such as Gamma Knife and ZAP stereotactic radiosurgery systems. The group plans to raise total bed capacity to over 15,000 in the coming years, which is expected to generate thousands of additional employment opportunities for doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and support staff.
Management emphasised a disciplined, seamless integration to ensure continuity of patient care, with shared clinical protocols, multidisciplinary case discussions and unified centres of excellence across the network. The launch establishes Aster DM Quality Care as one of India’s largest integrated healthcare providers, extending advanced treatment options beyond metropolitan centres and strengthening the clinical ecosystem in under‑penetrated regions.
