AT&T CFO Retirement and Leadership Transition

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) shares declined 1.7% in after‑hours trading on Tuesday following the announcement that Chief Financial Officer Pascal Desroches will retire at the end of the year. Desroches, who holds the titles of Senior Executive Vice President and CFO, disclosed his retirement will be effective December 31 2026, as detailed in a regulatory filing.

The company named Jennifer Biry as Deputy Chief Financial Officer, with the appointment taking effect on July 6 2026. Biry, aged 52, will assume the role of Senior Executive Vice President and CFO on January 1 2027. Prior to rejoining AT&T, Biry served as CFO and Chief Operating Officer of McAfee from 2022 onward. She previously held several senior positions at AT&T between 1999 and 2022, notably as Executive Vice President and CFO of WarnerMedia, an AT&T subsidiary, from 2020 to 2022.

The market reaction was a modest 1.7% drop in AT&T’s share price during after‑hours trading, reflecting investor response to the leadership change.
