AugurAI Private Limited, a deep‑tech firm based in Tiruchirappalli, India, announced on 30 October 2026 that it has closed a ₹2 crore funding round fully subscribed by investors of Campus Angels Network (CAN). The round was entirely funded by CAN investors.
Company Background
Founded in 2022, AugurAI is incubated at Forge Innovation & Ventures and SASTRA First TBI. The company develops integrated industrial inspection solutions that combine precision optics, imaging hardware, AI software and automation, employing an optics‑first approach that engineers illumination, lenses and imaging before applying AI for defect detection. It reports inspection accuracy exceeding 99.9 % in live deployments and has deployed solutions with leading industrial customers such as JSW, ZF Rane and Brakes India. AugurAI was also the winner of the Maruti Suzuki Incubation Program (Cohort 5) selected from over 570 startups.
Use of Funds
The fresh capital will be allocated to strengthen product development and research‑and‑development, expand sales and execution capabilities, and support the next phase of growth.

The company aims to convert its growing customer pipeline into multi‑line and multi‑plant deployments, creating recurring revenue through system expansion, and to build an India‑origin precision inspection technology platform capable of competing in global industrial markets.
