Contract Overview

Aurionpro Solutions Limited announced that Matkahuolto, Finland's provider of parcel and digital transport services, has selected Aurionpro as the device vendor for its contactless EMV (cEMV) project following a competitive RFP process. The selection was made under a Master Service Agreement.

Technology Solution

Aurionpro will provide:

  • SCV 500 Validator
  • ECR-one contactless card reader
  • Integration to Matkahuolto's Transport Management System (TMS)
  • APIs for payment-application connectivity

The solution will enable acceptance of both EMV payment cards and Finland's local contactless card standards across the public transport network.

Strategic Significance

This engagement marks Aurionpro's entry into the European market and represents a significant milestone in expanding its global transit business. The company anticipates this contract will lead to a strong pipeline of opportunities across Europe.

Client Background

Matkahuolto is a Finnish service company with over 90 years of operation, divided into two business segments:

1. Parcel Services: Transports 20 million parcels annually in Finland and abroad, served by 2,550 service points nationwide

2. Digital Transport Services: Focuses on sustainable mobility services, timetables and tickets, enabling over 7 million journeys annually

The company reported €98.5 million turnover in 2025 and is committed to science-based climate targets, aiming to halve all emissions by 2030.
