Avid Organics Announces US Manufacturing Facility

Avid Organics Private Limited, an India‑headquartered specialty chemicals manufacturer, disclosed plans to establish its first manufacturing facility outside India in the United States. The project will be executed through its wholly‑owned subsidiary, Avid Organics America Inc., which currently distributes the group’s products in the U.S. market.

The company intends to invest up to US$50 million in its U.S. operations, with the capital to be deployed through 2035. The funding will support the construction of manufacturing infrastructure, acquisition of process technology, and development of local operating capabilities, with provision for future capacity expansion.

Targeted to commence operations in 2028, the proposed plant will initially produce glycine and glycolic acid in technical and cosmetic grades. The facility is expected to complement Avid Organics’ existing manufacturing base in India and enhance its ability to serve North American customers through locally sourced production.

Avid Organics is presently in active discussions to finalize the site location. "The United States is a strategic market for Avid Organics. Establishing local manufacturing represents an important step in our long‑term growth plans," said Dheeraj Jain, CEO & Managing Director of Avid Organics. "We intend to build on the manufacturing and process expertise developed in India to establish a lasting presence in the U.S. market, supported by local capabilities and closer engagement with customers."

Further details on the facility will be announced as the project progresses.
