Avisirah Technologies Raises ₹75 Crore Loan for Navi Mumbai AI Data Centre
Avisirah Technologies Private Limited announced that it has obtained a ₹75 crore loan facility from Syndicate Finance to finance the development of a greenfield, Uptime Tier‑III‑equivalent colocation data centre in Navi Mumbai. The loan follows an earlier secured facility of ₹50 crore extended by Syndicate Finance in May 2025, bringing the cumulative financing from the lender to ₹125 crore. Avisirah indicated that it may seek an additional funding programme of up to ₹125 crore during fiscal 2027‑28, subject to project milestones and customary credit approvals, which would raise the total potential financing for the data‑centre programme to ₹250 crore.
The proposed data centre will be constructed in two phases, each with an estimated capital outlay of ₹125 crore. Phase I is designed to support approximately 2.5 MW of IT load, while Phase II will add roughly 3.0 MW, resulting in a combined capacity of 5.5 MW, equivalent to about 1,100 racks operating at an average design density of 5 kW per rack. The facility will be built on a shared land parcel with a shared power and cooling backbone.
Funds from the new ₹75 crore facility are earmarked for acquisition of land in Navi Mumbai, civil and structural development, electrical, power, cooling and connectivity infrastructure, procurement and installation of computing and data‑centre equipment, and working‑capital requirements associated with development and ongoing operations.
Commenting on the financing, Mr. Suresh Gurav, Director of Avisirah Technologies, said that artificial intelligence is fundamentally reshaping computing‑infrastructure requirements and that India is experiencing rapid growth in demand for AI, cloud and data‑intensive computing capacity. He noted that the ₹75 crore loan is a critical milestone that will enable progress on land acquisition, infrastructure development, equipment procurement and working‑capital needs.
The announcement comes amid a broader surge in data‑centre investment across India. According to JLL’s India Data Centre 2026 Mid‑Year Report, the country’s data‑centre capacity stood at approximately 1.6 GW in mid‑2026 and is projected to reach around 6 GW by 2029, driven largely by AI‑related workloads and hyperscale investments. Global hyperscalers have committed more than US$50 billion to India’s data‑centre ecosystem, and the Union Commerce and Industry Minister has indicated that the sector could attract roughly US$200 billion in investment. In the first half of 2026, hyperscalers accounted for over 80 % of data‑centre absorption, underscoring the strong demand for large‑scale computing infrastructure.
Maharashtra’s IT & ITeS Policy 2023 identifies data centres as a priority segment and offers fiscal and non‑fiscal incentives, including dedicated data‑centre parks, transmission and sub‑station infrastructure, and other facilitation measures. Avisirah intends to evaluate applicable central and state incentives for the Navi Mumbai project.
Once operational, the Avisirah facility is expected to add high‑performance computing capacity to India’s expanding digital‑infrastructure ecosystem, catering to the growing demand generated by AI, cloud and other data‑intensive applications.
