On 26 August 2026, from Pune, Bajaj General Insurance Limited (formerly Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited) announced the launch of My Family Complete, positioned as India’s first health insurance policy that treats pet dogs and cats as insured family members alongside humans.

Product Features

The plan offers sum‑insured choices ranging from INR 5 Lakhs to INR 5 Crores and allows policy tenures of up to five years. It provides unlimited reinstatement of the sum insured each time a claim is settled, and policyholders can earn cumulative bonuses of up to 100 %. Additional benefits include cataract treatment coverage and a fixed convalescence benefit equal to 1 % of the sum insured if the insured person or pet is hospitalised for an extended stay.

Coverage Details

Eligibility covers adults from 18 years onward, dependent children from 3 months to 30 years, and pet dogs or cats from 3 months of age with no upper age limit. The core cover includes:

  • In‑patient hospitalisation, room rent, and both road and pet ambulance services.
  • Pre‑ and post‑hospitalisation expenses, domiciliary care, modern treatment methods, and AYUSH hospitalisation for humans.
  • Organ donor expenses and family‑visit reimbursements.
  • Pet‑specific benefits such as reimbursement for advertising and rewards if a pet is lost, emergency pet accommodation during the policy‑holder’s hospitalisation, and third‑party liability cover for injury, death, or property damage caused by the insured pet.

Optional Riders & Discounts

Policyholders can enhance protection through a suite of optional covers, including:

  • Air Ambulance cover for humans and pets.
  • Major Illness and Accident Multiplier and Double Sum Insured Benefit.
  • Bundle of Joy benefit paying a lump sum on the birth of a child or pet litter.
  • Global Cover for planned and emergency hospitalisation abroad.
  • Consumables Plus to minimise out‑of‑pocket expenses, Health Limitless for a single claim without annual limits, and NRInsure for NRIs and OCIs with premium discounts.
  • Walk‑to‑Win discounts on renewal for achieving step‑count targets.
  • Pet‑focused riders such as Paw Promise (financial support for adopting a new pet after loss), Extended Pet Stay, and Long‑Term Care for chronic pet conditions.
