Strategic Initiative: Bioyug On Wheels Awareness Campaign
Balrampur Chini Mills Limited (BCML) has launched its nationwide awareness initiative 'Bioyug On Wheels' focused on promoting compostable PLA-based solutions as alternatives to conventional plastics. The initiative reached the iconic Shree Somnath Temple in Gujarat, which has been designated a Plastic-Free Zone.
Program Details and Locations
The mobile experience was hosted at the Shree Somnath Temple parking area and included:
- Interactive demonstrations
- Product displays
- Educational exhibits
- Showcase of compostable PLA bioplastics produced from renewable sugarcane feedstock
This follows previous successful engagements at:
- Shri Ram Mandir, Ayodhya during Dussehra celebrations
- Recent activations in Rajkot and Junagadh
Products Showcased
The exhibition demonstrated PLA bioplastics replacing commonly used single-use plastic products including:
- Water bottles
- Cutlery
- Prasad boxes
- Compostable garbage bags
- 3D printing applications
