Mr. Panda is appointed as:
- (a) Additional Director (Independent) on the Board of the Bank, effective from July 05, 2026
- (b) Independent Director for a term of three consecutive years, effective from July 05, 2026, not liable to retire by rotation, subject to shareholder approval within three months from date of appointment
- (c) Non-Executive Chairman of the Bank, effective from July 05, 2026, for a period of three years, subject to shareholder approval
Mr. Panda is not related to any other Directors of the Bank and is not debarred/disqualified from holding office by any order of SEBI or other authority.

Mr. Debasish Panda is a 1987 batch IAS officer of Uttar Pradesh cadre with extensive experience in finance, insurance, public health, agriculture, law enforcement, and urban development. He served as Chairman of IRDAI (2022-2025) and Secretary, DFS (2020-2022). He has held director positions on the boards of Reserve Bank of India, State Bank of India, Bank of Baroda and Life Insurance Corporation of India. He currently serves as Independent Director on the boards of Anand Rathi Wealth Limited, Capri Global Housing Finance Limited, IBDIC Private Limited and Invesco Asset Management (India) Private Limited.
