Announcement
Barclays Plc (LON:BARC) and Samsung Electronics Co. (KS:005930) have announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Card, a new credit card for the United States market. The card will be issued by Barclays US Consumer Bank and will operate on the Visa network.
Launch Details
Applications for the card will open on 22 July 2026. Eligible customers who spend at least US$2,000 within the first 90 days of account opening will receive an additional US$200 in bonus cash rewards.
Rewards Structure
The Samsung Galaxy Card provides a tiered cash‑back programme: 5 % cash back on eligible purchases made directly with Samsung, 3 % on purchases made through Samsung Wallet, 2 % on streaming services such as Netflix, Disney+ and Spotify, and 1 % on all other purchases.
Card Formats
The product is offered both as a virtual card and as a premium metal physical card featuring a black Samsung logo.
Integration
The card is integrated with Samsung Wallet, allowing cardholders to store the card alongside other compatible cards, identification documents, passes, digital keys and additional items.

Denny Nealon, Chief Executive Officer of Barclays US Consumer Bank, said the partnership exemplifies Barclays’ “partner‑first” strategy and its focus on delivering seamless, rewarding digital banking capabilities that align with customers’ use of Samsung Wallet.

Barclays already maintains credit‑card partnerships with several airlines and cruise operators and has been expanding its partnership portfolio in recent years.
