BD India and HOPE Foundation Celebrate 8‑Year CSR Upskilling Initiative

BD India/South Asia, aligning with its corporate social responsibility mandate, has partnered with the HOPE Foundation since 2018 to provide free skill‑based training to young adults in East Delhi. The collaboration focuses on two core courses—Nursing Assistant (NA) and Tally operating computer skills—each delivered over a three‑month period and complemented by basic English, life‑skills, and hands‑on practical sessions.

At the culmination of the eighth year, the partners felicitated 264 graduates who successfully completed the NA and Tally programmes, awarding each participant a certificate and a trophy. Over the eight‑year span, the initiative has trained more than 2,200 youths from low‑socioeconomic backgrounds, with over 1,750 securing employment, representing an employment rate exceeding 80 % and a beneficiary pool that is largely female.

Eligibility for the free courses requires a minimum of a 10th‑class pass certificate and demonstrable economic need. NA trainees receive an additional six‑month on‑the‑job placement in reputable public or private hospitals, enhancing practical exposure and employability.

Looking ahead, BD India has pledged to extend the partnership into a ninth year, expanding the training roster to 320 youths and adding a new Advanced Excel + SQL course alongside the existing NA and Tally tracks.
