Beacon Trusteeship Secures Stockbroking Licence, Completes Integrated Platform
On 21 October 2026, Beacon Trusteeship Limited (NSE: BEACON), India's first and only listed trustee company, announced that its wholly‑owned subsidiary Beacon Investor Hub Private Limited (BIHPL) received a stockbroking licence as a member of the Metropolitan Stock Exchange of India (MSEI). BIHPL was already registered with SEBI as a Registrar and Share Transfer Agent (RTA), a Depository Participant (DP) and a Research Analyst (RA). With the new licence, the Beacon Group now offers the full suite of services that connect an issuing company to its investors – research, issuance, custody and trading – on a single platform.
The group holds a total of seven licences and registrations across three regulators – the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) and the Financial Services Commission of Mauritius – and is a member of both a stock exchange and a depository, representing one of the broadest regulatory footprints among independent capital‑markets service providers in India. This regulatory breadth enables Beacon to provide issuers, funds and investors with an integrated platform covering trusteeship, asset servicing, research, registry, custody and broking, allowing multiple revenue streams from a single client relationship.
Founder, Chairman & Managing Director Pratapsingh Nathani stated that the licence “completes an architecture we have built deliberately over a decade,” emphasizing that few firms hold seven licences under three regulators and that the breadth is intended to let clients bring their entire capital‑markets journey to one partner. The SEBI Research Analyst registration gives the broking platform an immediate research capability; the equity research desk will publish sector and company coverage for retail, high‑net‑worth and institutional clients, leveraging the group's deep credit expertise acquired from a decade of corporate debt trusteeship.
Beacon highlights that the addition of equity services balances its business across market cycles. Debt‑related activities typically surge when equity markets are volatile, while broking, registry and research activity expands when equity markets are strong. Consequently, the group expects steadier earnings, with recurring trusteeship and registry fees providing a stable base and equity‑linked revenue adding growth.
Financially, the company reported that standalone revenue for FY2025‑26 increased 23.7% year‑on‑year to ₹31.83 crore, while net profit rose 42.2% to ₹8.18 crore, and the company remains debt‑free. Beacon now administers approximately ₹20 lakh crore (over US$180 billion) in assets, serves about 1,500 corporate and fund clients, and acts as trustee to roughly 180 Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), including 35 in GIFT City. Its share of India's debenture trustee market grew from 2.0% in 2019 to 10.1% in 2025.
In the near term, BIHPL will first provide equity registry and corporate‑action services to issuers already using Beacon as a bond trustee, followed by Demat, broking and research support for promoters, treasuries and employees, delivered through a phased digital platform rollout. Details of the consumer brand associated with the platform will be announced separately.
Beacon’s broader group includes BeaconX, which offers family trusts and corporate services, and Codium Techlabs, which provides fiduciary technology solutions.
