Nature of change: Appointment of two new Directors
Shri Ambrish Tripathi (DIN: 11888363) was appointed as Director (Human Resources) on the Board of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) w.e.f. 13th August, 2026. He was previously working as General Manager (Kotdwar) since 01 January 2024.
Shri Anoop Kumar Rai (DIN: 11888162) was appointed as Director (Marketing) on the Board of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) w.e.f. 13th August, 2026. He was previously working as Executive Director (CRL-Ghaziabad) since 01 August 2025.
Both appointments were made by the Ministry of Defence, Government of India, vide letters no. DDP-E0032/1/2025-D(BEL) and DDP-E0032/2/2025-D(BEL) both dated 12th August, 2026, and approved by the Board of Directors through Circular Resolution.

Shri Ambrish Tripathi, Director (HR):

Joined BEL in 1991 as R&D Engineer after completing B.Tech. (Electronics & Communication) from NIT Allahabad
Worked in Production, Material Management and Marketing before joining Information systems at BEL Corporate
Key achievements: Instrumental in implementation of SAP across BEL; First PSU to implement File Lifecycle Management for digital file creation; Received 'Home Ministry Award' for 'Implementation of Best IT Process for prevention of corruption'; First industry to implement Virtual Desktop Infra across BEL replacing more than 15K PCs; Adapted new technologies like BOT, Blockchain, AI; Established first Security Operational center in industrial set up; Enterprise-wide Implementation of secure collaborative platform for business communication; Played key role in modernizing Kotdwar unit and achieving Rs 1000 crore turnover

Shri Anoop Kumar Rai, Director (Marketing):

Has 33 years of experience in Defence & niche technologies
Key achievements: Pioneer of Autonomous & AI-Driven Warfare; Spearheaded development of "Saksham," an AI-powered Drone Warfare System; Key driver in conceptualization of AI based Command Information & Decision Support System (CIDSS); Introduced AI in NMDA for predictive maintenance; Played pivotal role in conceptualization & deployment of advanced technologies in IACCS Project; Leadership ensured success of Sanjay (BSS) and Akashteer (ADC&RS) systems; Led indigenization of NC3I, replacing foreign OEM systems; Extended BEL's technology global reach through export of Coastal Surveillance Systems to Maldives, Seychelles, and Mauritius; Championed diversification into AI-driven civilian infrastructure including India's first indigenous Air Traffic Management Automation, KAVACH 4.0, AI assisted CIKMS for Indian Railways, and SIL2 Certified Metro Solutions
Under his stewardship, CRL achieved CMMI Level 5 certification and first-ever SIL2 Certification in India
