Key Announcement
Kalyani Strategic Systems Limited (KSSL), the wholly owned defence subsidiary of Bharat Forge Limited, signed a strategic partnership with AM General, a leading military vehicle mobile defense capabilities provider. The signing occurred at the Eurosatory defense exposition in Paris, France on June 18, 2026.
Partnership Details
The strategic partnership addresses the requirement of modern armies worldwide for compact, robust, lightweight, ruggedized, mobile, all-weather, all-terrain Next-Gen Mounted Artillery gun platforms. The partnership is intended to support broader allied distribution and position the platform as a scalable, exportable artillery solution for partner nations seeking modern, mobile, and survivable 155mm fires capability.
US Army Program Participation
AM General has offered a proposal to participate in the U.S Army Mobile Tactical Cannon (MTC) program through this partnership. The proposal includes development and delivery of a 155mm MTC solution based on KSSL's Mounted Artillery Gun platform architecture. Delivery is planned in 2027 upon down-selection by the US Government.

The SRT system absorbs significantly more recoil force than traditional artillery systems, allowing for lighter vehicle, lighter turret, and less shock on the entire weapons system over its life.
