BHEL appointed Ms. Nigar Fatima Husain as Part-time Official Director effective 27 April 2026.
She replaces Shri Asit Gopal, who ceased to be a director on the company's board.
The appointment was made based on communication from the Ministry of Heavy Industries and board approval.
Ms. Husain currently serves as Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor in two ministries.
