BIA installed Rajesh Doshi as its 62nd President, emphasizing a shift toward AI adoption and export growth for MSMEs.
The MSME sector comprises 7.5 crore firms, generating 31% of GDP, 35% of manufacturing output, and 48% of total exports.
Initiatives announced include reviving Entrepreneur magazine, launching DEFCON 2026 for defence‑aerospace links, and a Digital Transformation & AI roadmap for members.
BIA also signed MoUs to expand financial, technology, export services and will extend membership to clusters in Bhiwandi, Navi Mumbai, and Thane.
