BigBloc Construction Limited is one of the largest manufacturers of AAC (Aerated Autoclave Concrete) blocks in India with a total capacity of 13,00,000 m³ per annum. Joint Venture with SCG International
In 2021, BigBloc entered into a strategic joint venture with Siam Cement Group (SCG) of Thailand, with SCG holding 48% and BigBloc holding 52%. The JV commenced operations in FY24 with a project value of INR 891 million and an installed capacity of 250,000 CBM for AAC wall panels. SCG is one of the largest cement and building material companies in Thailand and Southeast Asia.
Manufacturing and Sustainability
The company maintains rejection rates below 2%, significantly lower than industry averages. BigBloc is the first AAC manufacturer in India to generate carbon credits and utilizes industrial by-products in its manufacturing process, supporting green building standards.
Market Presence and Customers
The company serves dealers, builders, contractors, individuals, industrial corporates, developers (direct sales to marquee developers), cement companies (regular clients like ACC & Ambuja), government agencies (supplies to CIDCO), and project sales (large projects like Lodha Palava).
