Bikaji Foods International Limited has made a regulatory disclosure pursuant to SEBI Listing Regulations 30 regarding a strategic partnership for its subsidiary Bikaji Bakes Private Limited (BBPL).
The company has entered into a partnership with Mr. Thayekunni Khaleel, described as a world-renowned technical expert in the bakery industry. As part of this partnership arrangement, Bikaji Foods has transferred a 30% equity stake in BBPL to Mr. Khaleel. The company retains a 70% majority stake in the subsidiary, and BBPL will continue to remain a subsidiary of Bikaji Foods International Limited.
The partnership aims to combine Mr. Khaleel's deep technical expertise and global bakery experience with Bikaji's strong understanding of the Indian consumer, extensive distribution and sales network, and deep presence across the retail ecosystem. The collaboration is intended to bring world-class bakery practices, technical capabilities, and expertise to India while leveraging Bikaji's established market infrastructure.
Mr. Deepak Agarwal, Chairman and Managing Director of Bikaji Foods International Limited, commented that bakery represents a category with significant growth potential in India.
