Announcement

On August 27, 2026, from Mumbai, India, Binance unveiled Agent OS, a new developer platform and standardized access layer that connects artificial‑intelligence (AI) applications to Binance’s trading, market‑data, wallet, payment and on‑chain capabilities across both crypto and traditional markets. The platform is part of Binance Intelligence, the exchange’s strategic initiative for AI‑powered products and experiences, and is intended to give AI builders, fintech developers and quantitative trading teams a controlled foundation for creating applications and agents that interact with Binance’s financial infrastructure.

Platform Features

Agent OS supports both ready‑made integrations and user‑built AI agents. It aggregates several Binance components—including Binance APIs, the Binance Wallet Agentic Hub, Binance x402 programmable payments, the Binance Skill Hub, and the newly introduced Model Context Protocol (MCP)—into a single standardized developer layer. MCP is an open standard that enables compatible AI applications to connect to and use external tools, reducing the need for separate integrations for each product or use case.

Supported AI Tools

The platform is compatible with popular AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude Code, Codex and Cursor. Through these tools, users can authorize agents to access market data, view account information and perform supported trading activities, all subject to the permissions and limits they configure.

Access Controls and Permissions

Users may assign each AI agent to a dedicated sub‑account, thereby segregating funds and trading activity. Permissions are user‑controlled; through the MCP server, users can configure an agent’s access, assign it to a sub‑account, and revoke access at any time. Agents can view balances, portfolio information and transaction history of the designated sub‑account, as well as balance and portfolio details of the user’s main account, but they cannot access non‑trading personal information such as email addresses or KYC data. Binance monitors and applies applicable controls to any trading activity initiated via the platform, including the resulting orders. The external information sources, interpretation and decision‑making of the agent remain within the user‑selected AI application and are not visible to Binance.

Executive Quote

Jeff Li, Vice‑President of Product at Binance, stated: “Binance Agent OS addresses the fragmentation developers face when building agentic finance applications across crypto and traditional markets. It gives everyone from developers to quantitative traders the reliable data, low‑latency infrastructure, and standardized interfaces they need to deploy AI‑driven strategies.”

Technical Integration

Compatible clients that support MCP over Streamable HTTP can connect using https://agent.binance.com/mcp/agentic. Detailed setup instructions are available in the Binance MCP Server documentation at https://developers.binance.com/en/docs/agent-native/mcp-server.
