Campaign Overview: On World Environment Day 2026, Bisleri’s “Bottles for Change” programme mobilised over 35,000 citizens across seven states (Pondicherry, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Chhattisgarh) and one Union Territory, recovering more than 18 metric tonnes of plastic waste.
State‑wise Activities & Results:
Pondicherry: Rally with Sri Venkateshwaraa College; collection drive at Sri Venkateshwaraa Dental College gathered 520 kg plastic, 250 participants.
Tamil Nadu: 150 saplings planted around local ponds; clean‑up at Pulicat Bird Sanctuary with Forest Dept. and Pollution Control Board.
Ooty (Tamil Nadu): Clean‑up from Kallar check post to Barliyar Bridge and Vellingiri Hills recovered >850 kg plastic.
Coimbatore: Climate Corridor event at AIC‑Rise with Rathinam Group of Institutions, 200 participants.
Trichy & Dindigul (Tamil Nadu): Installation of waste collection bins with City Corporation, YI‑CII and Pollution Control Board respectively.
Karnataka: Large‑scale clean‑up with CII and Mysore Corporation mobilised 2,000 citizens, recovered 15,000 kg plastic; Karnataka Police Academy drive engaged 300 personnel; Hoodi Lake and Nexus Mall drives collected 600 kg plastic and planted 100 saplings.
Chhattisgarh: Exhibition stall at Nandanvan Jungle Safari, Raipur attracted ~2,000 visitors; clean‑up and plantation drive with 100 participants planted 100 saplings.
Andhra Pradesh & Telangana (Hyderabad & Vizag): Door‑to‑door awareness with Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad reached 5,000 households; exhibition stall at Aparna RWA engaged 500 residents; collection drive with Samprabhav Foundation and JNTU recovered 2,000 kg plastic.
Kerala (Calicut): Seminar and rally with Farook College and NSS, 250 students and community members participated.
Environmental Add‑ons: Over 350 saplings planted across Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Chhattisgarh as part of tree‑plantation drives.
Program Reach: To date, the Bottles for Change programme has engaged more than 10 million people nationwide, raising awareness on plastic segregation and recycling.
