Bisleri International’s Partnership with Purple Umbrella Festival 2026
Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., India’s leading packaged drinking water brand, served as the Official Hydration Partner for the Purple Umbrella Festival 2026, which was held at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. The festival brought together more than 1,000 school students, along with educators, climate experts, artists and innovators, under the theme “AI & Climate: Reimagining the Future Together.”
The Purple Umbrella Foundation’s broader mission is to empower one million young climate champions, and the 2026 edition encouraged participants to explore climate change through theatre, short films, documentaries, student innovations, climate talks, a Climate, Health & Mental Well‑being Conclave, and a Climate & Heritage Quiz.
As part of the collaboration, Bisleri highlighted its Bottles for Change initiative. A central feature was the “Wings of Change” art installation, constructed from 2,000 used PET bottles to illustrate circularity, complemented by “Benches of Dreams,” furniture pieces made from recycled plastic that demonstrated how discarded material can be repurposed for everyday use.
CEO Dr Angelo George stated, “It is vital to engage young people in conversations about environmental responsibility and inspire them to turn awareness into action. The Purple Umbrella Festival offers students an opportunity to learn, exchange ideas and make more sustainable choices in their everyday lives. Through Bottles for Change, we continue to build awareness of responsible plastic waste management and recycling, encouraging everyone to play their part in creating a cleaner, greener planet.”
Founder Neeraj Kumar of the Purple Umbrella Foundation added that the festival is designed to stimulate creative thinking about climate challenges and that Bisleri’s participation adds an important dimension by helping students understand responsible plastic waste management through hands‑on experiences.
Bisleri’s involvement underscores its commitment to sustainability. The company, with a legacy of over 50 years, operates 130 plants and a distribution network of more than 6,000 distributors and 7,500 trucks across India and the UAE. Its product portfolio includes the country’s largest‑selling packaged drinking water, Vedica Himalayan Spring Water, and carbonated drinks such as Bisleri Limonata, Bisleri Pop, and Bisleri Soda, all available through its e‑commerce platform Bisleri@Doorstep.
