Blue Dart Express Limited has made disclosures pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 regarding significant management changes approved by the Nomination & Remuneration Committee, Audit Committee, and Board of Directors in meetings held on September 15, 2026.

Resignation of Managing Director

  • Mr. Balfour Manuel (DIN: 08416666), Managing Director of the company, requested early superannuation effective close of business hours on November 29, 2026
  • The reason cited is to enable smooth and seamless succession in favor of an incumbent candidate and due to certain personal commitments
  • The NRC and Board have approved the waiver of the 6-month notice period stipulated in his agreement dated July 28, 2022
  • Mr. Manuel will serve as a Senior Strategic Advisor to the Managing Director until May 15, 2027
  • He will also cease to be a Director in the company's wholly owned subsidiary, Blue Dart Aviation Ltd., effective November 29, 2026
  • Mr. Manuel has confirmed there are no material reasons for his resignation other than those stated
  • He has been with the company for 43 years and his tenure as Managing Director was originally until May 15, 2027

Appointment of New Managing Director

  • Mr. R.S. Subramanian (DIN: 02946608) has been appointed as Managing Director for the period from November 30, 2026 till May 25, 2030
  • The appointment is subject to approval of shareholders and other statutory approvals as may be applicable
  • Mr. Subramanian is currently SVP for South Asia and Managing Director of DHL Express India, and a member of the DHL Express Asia Pacific Management Board
  • He has over 30 years of experience in product-led and service industries with expertise in business strategy, marketing, team development and customer management
  • He joined DHL Express India as Head of Sales and rose to Vice President, South Asia Cluster, managing operations in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives and Bhutan
  • In 2010, he was appointed Managing Director of DHL Express India where he drove significant growth and established the company as a market leader
  • Prior to DHL, he spent 14 years at Hindustan Unilever Ltd. in various sales, marketing and export management roles
  • He holds a graduate degree in Industrial Engineering and a Master's in Management from IIM Bangalore
  • He is Gold Certified in DHL Group's internal quality program based on Six Sigma DMAIC methodology
  • He is Vice Chairman of the Express Industry Council of India (EICI) and part of the Advisory Council of Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC)
  • He was first appointed to the Blue Dart Board on March 27, 2019 and is currently a Non-Executive Director
  • He has no inter-se relationship with other Directors of the company and is not debarred from holding director office
