Overview
Boeing Co. (NYSE:BA) received a contract modification valued at $31,505,637 to provide sustainment support for the P‑8A maritime patrol aircraft platform used by the United States Navy and several allied governments.
Scope of Work
The modification authorizes Boeing to perform platform sustainment support, support‑equipment maintenance, engineering investigations and integrated maintenance augmentation support. The work covers the U.S. Navy and the governments of Australia, the United Kingdom, Norway, New Zealand, the Republic of Korea and Germany.
Geographic Distribution
Twenty‑five percent of the effort will be carried out at Boeing’s facility in Jacksonville, Florida, and fifteen percent at Whidbey Island, Washington. Additional work will be performed at locations including Sigonella, Italy; Manama, Bahrain; Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii; and other domestic and international sites.
Financial Obligations
At the time of award the Navy will obligate $8,576,380 from fiscal‑year 2024 aircraft procurement funds and $8,922,792 from fiscal‑year 2026 operations and maintenance funds. Foreign Military Sales customer funds of $2,745,842 and Royal Australian Air Force cooperative funds of $277,003 will also be obligated.
Schedule and Administration
The contract is expected to be completed by September 2027. It is issued under a previously awarded basic ordering agreement, with the Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland serving as the contracting activity.
