BPCL's Board of Directors at its meeting held on May 27, 2026 appointed Shri Pushp Kumar Nayar as Director (Human Resources) with effect from May 27, 2026. The appointment will continue until the date of his superannuation or until further orders, whichever is earlier. The appointment was made as per communication received from Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Government of India.
Director Background and Qualifications
Shri Pushp Kumar Nayar is a graduate of the University of Delhi and holds an MBA in Business Administration from Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University. He has over 35 years of experience at BPCL across key marketing functions including Retail and Lubricants businesses. He has also served on deputation with Indraprastha Gas Limited and has handled diverse leadership roles across Regions, Headquarters, and Supply Chain functions before assuming the role of Executive Director (HRD).

In Human Resources, he has contributed to talent augmentation, organizational culture and values assimilation, succession planning, and comprehensive Talent discussions through Talent Review Panels. He has been instrumental in harnessing HR analytics and AI-led interventions for data-driven decision-making and building future-ready organizational capability.

Presently, Shri Pushp Kumar Nayar serves as Chairman on the Board of Arunachal Gas Private Limited. Earlier, he served as a Board Member of Central UP Gas Limited and Sabarmati Gas Limited.
